Missanabie Smallmouth Bass Fishing

If you like catching and eating Smallmouth Bass than it will take you a few minutes to catch lunch. The shoreline has hoards of Smallmouth Bass in the 1 to 3-pound range with quite a few bigger bass in the 4 and 5-pound range. If you specifically target Smallmouth Bass you should catch a 6-pounder and some of their guests have even caught Smallmouth over 7 pounds but a bass that size is rare. They also have boat caches on several remote backcountry portage lakes with great bass fishing. They have five lakefront housekeeping cabins that sleep between four and nine adults. They have two boat-to outpost camps on Loon Lake and Shikwamkwa Lake and both camps have fantastic. Their rates are the best in Ontario. They also have fishing for Walleye, Northern Pike, Lake Trout, Brook Trout and Perch.

Camp Missanabie is a housekeeping lodge with outpost camps located near the outpost settlement of Missanabie, Ontario, which is north of Wawa and Chapleau and on the western edge of Missanabie Provincial Park. They are located on Dog Lake, which has fantastic Smallmouth Bass fishing. The camp is known for its excellent Smallmouth Bass. Smallmouth Bass are common in the 1 to 4-pound range but many bass over 5 pounds get caught each day. This rocky lake was made for Smallmouth Bass and can produce monster bass over 6 pounds and maybe even a few over 7 pounds.
